| Kathe Stark is a well known New Mexico artist who started with decorating gourds and now does needle baskets pretty exclusively. We are offering a beer tasting on our deck, looking south over Bellingham Bay. In support of this we will gather offerings from all the local breweries, in a variety of styles. We will also serve home made appetizers with each course ending with chocolate covered local strawberries. After everyone has gathered and we have had a little chitchat we’ll serve the first round of finger food and the first round of brews (three 1 ounce tastes). We will repeat this four more times. After each round of tasting we will pass judgement on the beers (in an appropriately non-judgmental UU way, of course). Since Claire and I know almost nothing about beer, the intimidation factor should be minimal. The treehouse is accessed by a short flight of not-to-code depth stairs. There will be padded chairs & a table set up for you & you will be waited on by Kara. The treehouse surrounds a huge Cedar and is set in a forest of many more lovely trees. A short walk down (and then back up) a bark trail is required to reach the treehouse. Date will be set by mutual convenience of all the participants.
