I have played around with several recipes for lentil soup and this is the best, so far. Each winner will receive 2 quarts of freshly-made soup, delivered to their door on Thursday, March 19th, 2026. We have offered it in the past and it's been quite popular. Maybe if you didn't have a winning bid last year, this time you will. The soup is plant-based.

Quilting has been one of the most popular forms for Black women to tell our stories, sharing injustices and the lack of equality in this country. We will never stop telling our stories. I found myself interested in quilting, once again discovering the lack of black women in an art form that has been foundational in the history of textile arts.

Learn the art of English Paper Piecing! I can teach you in 1 hour how to make a coaster and you can later turn that talent into your own quilt! I will provide all fabric and supplies. If you want to bring your own scrap fabrics that is fine also. (scraps should be at least 2.5" wide). Class is Saturday September 12 (3:00-4:30) at an agreed upon location.

Need assistance??? I will be your personal assistant for a day. I can shop for groceries/pharmacy/hardware store, pickup/dropoff family members, baby/senior sit and walk your dog(s). Or instead, I can clean and organize one room in your house. Up to 5 hours of work for either service on an agreed-upon date beginning in June.

Join us for a tasting menu of close to 30 courses, each of a different type of potato chip! From cheesy to tangy and sweet to savory, we'll try to identify some favorites. The chips will be offered in themed sets, complete with tasting notes. Palate cleansers (some veggies and apple slices) and a tart popsicle at the end to round out the experience. We'll be a completely non-alcoholic, family-friendly event with plenty of room to move around in Beach Hall at church.

Kids: To make this family friendly, kids under 18 are $10 (listed as the spectator rate but can fully participate).

Dietary needs: A couple flavors will be meaty and others quite frequently are cheesy but may otherwise meet a variety of dietary needs. Ingredient lists will be available to peruse.

To make this family friendly, kids under 18 are $5 each via the "spectator" price but will be full participants. You can also check in with Erin so we can make this feasible for your family.

This will be a food-free event for about 90 minutes in the First UU Worship Center at 93 W Weisheimer Rd, Columbus, OH 43214. Bring a water bottle to keep your whistle wet!

If you enjoy making quilting patterns, you might like chess. Checkmating the king involves attacking or blocking all the squares in a 2x2 to 3x3 box. Also, good item for your college applications.
