Magical Mystery Tour (Reprise): An Afternoon at ComFest Turn up and tune in with past Board Chairs David Easter and Steve Abbott for another afternoon at ComFest, the alternative political & cultural festival that annually creates Three Days of Peace and Music in Goodale Park on the last weekend in June. Last year's participants still testify to the consciousness-raising that took place.
Bring your brightest tie-dye and your love of music, art, counter-cultural alternative media, politics and fellowship. All ages welcome. You can wander the park's Street Fair, music stages and exhibits at your leisure, but we'll stake out your crash-pad on a blanket in the shade. We'll cover dinner and a beverage from any food stand in the Street Fair, offer inspired/insightful music commentary, spin tales as believable as visions produced by chemicals, and provide lots of insider ComFest lore going all the way back to its origins on 16th Avenue in 1972.

Have Your Genogram Done A genogram is a therapist's "family tree." But rather than looking at where your family's roots are, we look at behaviors and themes passed down through generations. A great way to organize information you already know. An even better way to understand why some family members do the things they do and an insightful way for you to stop some of the unhelpful behaviors from being passed down to your next generation.

Temari - Circle of Cranes
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Temari is the Japanese Art Craft of embroidered thread balls.

Cranes hold much esteem in Japanese culture, representing long life. Cranes mate for life. Because of this, they are often used as symbols of love, bonding, and marriage.

Based on an ancient folk craft originating in China, Temari developed in Japan over six hundred years ago. Temari were originally made from the silk threads of discarded kimono and obi. The art of crafting Temari has since developed a wide variety of regional variations, attracting a broad following of crafters from many countries. Today, stunningly intricate Temari can be found in museums throughout the world.

This Temari has been created for you by Susan E.H. Hayashi. Mrs. Hayashi achieved Kyoju certification in 2006, the highest level awarded by the Japan Temari Association. She has studied the art of Temari for over 16 years; 5 of which were under the direct tutelage of Sensei Toshiko Ozaki, President of the Japan Temari Association.

Delightful Little Fishies The entree will again be salmon with caper-anchovy butter. For those who fear anchovies, you don't know what you're missing. These are not the dried up little things one finds on a pizza. Instead they are what creates a rich and interesting sauce. The dessert will be anchovy-free (I promise). For those of you who enjoyed my garlic dinners, you should know that many anchovy dishes contain lots of fresh garlic. Be adventurous. You only live once. 7 pm. 8 0 000060.0 60 .0004E7 40 9/26/09

Beer Tasting and German Dinner Humor writer Dave Barry once wrote, "All other nations are drinking Ray Charles Beer and we are drinking Barry Manilow." Fortunately the increased popularity of microbrews over the past 20+ years has vastly improved the domestic beer selection. Join us for beer, food and fellowship on our patio. We will sample a potpourri of quality beers, both imports and American microbrews. We'll gather around 5 pm for appetizers to be followed by German-style food and desert. Authentic Moroccan Dinner This dinner, featuring all authentic Moroccan recipes, will include appetizers of kefta kebabs, roasted spiced chickpeas, a variety of cured olives and a lemon and orange flower water drink. First course will include a variety of vegetable salads and Moroccan bread with aniseeds and hirissa sauce. Second course will be a choice of lamb tagine. For dessert, you'll have some Moroccan confections with pistachio ice cream and broiled mango and after dessert, you'll have gunpowder green tea with mint and sugar. Reiki can be done as a 1-hour stand alone session or incorporated with other relaxation techniques such as Swedish massage, polarity, reflexology. Polarity Balance Dr. Randolph Stone, M.D. coined the term Polarity, in reference to the electromagnetic polar direction of the energy. If you want to be relaxed, feel balanced and energized, a Polarity session may be for you. Unlike massage, polarity can be done over clothing. Polarity includes a series of extremely gentle movements of the joints and limbs, neck, feet, and trunk. It helps clear blocked energy or tension. This is a 1-hour session at my East or North side locations. 1 0 000060.0 60 .0004E7 40
