No, this isn’t a gag addition to the Service Auction revolving around disaster prepping, but rather geocaching. “What’s geocaching?”, I hear you ask. Well, geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. These can be as small as a piece of paper in a magnetic container the size of a fingertip or larger than a five-gallon bucket. In the case of larger containers, these will often contain toys or other small items for people to trade. Scott Kitchen will pick up the lucky adult winner at their home and take that person to breakfast (you have to start the day off right!). He will give basic instruction about how to operate a handheld GPS and take the winner around central NJ to show some of the more common hide types in a suburban to rural environment.
