We also have a piano, if you prefer to accompany yourself! We will make chili and cornbread - let us know if you need a vegetarian or mild version. Tequila, wine, beer, etc. will limber up your vocal chords and loosen your performance inhibitions! The group songs always end up being the most fun. Tonk Party! Simple and fun card game with wine and appetizers
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Tonk is a very simple card game, easy to learn, similar to rummy. You have 5 cards to start, you draw a card each hand and must put down all your cards to win (in groups of 3), except that if you have 49 or 50 points in your hand right after the deal you win. That’s it! This includes gambling, so you put down an ante each hand (we will use poker chips). At the end of the evening, the top players each get a prize. Includes drinks (alcoholic and other) and hors d’oeuvres. Event for adults. From 18:00 to 22:00 (6 PM to 10 PM). 8 -2 000013.67 13.67 .0000999E7 9.99 1/25/20 6:00 PM N N

Tea and Lady's and Gentlemen
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Join us at our home for an afternoon tea and the board game Ladies & Gentlemen. Game is for ages 14+ and takes about 30 minutes to play. We have a variety of other games that we can play afterwards if there is interest.

"Ladies & Gentlemen brings players into the world of glamour. In teams of two – one playing a man, the other a woman – the players try to pull together the best-looking and most famous couple who will attend the big ball. The gentleman's duty is to make as much money as possible, which the lady will then spend on jewelry, clothes, and exclusive accessories. Each team has its own action cards to carry out its tasks, and the more that the players embody their characters – flirtatious, fashion-obsessed ladies, and rich, arrogant, pretentious gentlemen – the more fun and explosive the game will be!"

This game casts the players in traditional Victorian roles but it does it in a ridiculous and silly way.

March Madness is one of the biggest and most exciting events in all of sports. This virtual event is like your office pool, but with church friends. Each participant turns in a completed bracket before the tournament begins. The winner receives $200 and the glory of picking the winning team, and accumulating the most points during the tournament. Nina is running the pool, providing email updates after each round and will organize a no-host get together at a Costa Mesa bar where we can watch one of the final four games together. Games begin on March 17th, and continue until the national championship on April 6th. 10 0 000025.0 25 .00025E7 25 N N

Co-event with Bull Run UU - 4th Annual Blind Wine Tasting Virginia vs. Temecula
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
The congregants at Bull Run UU love their wine. So do we. Brian Pace from BRUU has obtained wines from Virginia. There are over 250 wineries in the state and they cultivate different grapes than we do, particularly reds. Brian pours at several wineries there, so he knows his wine. He went with me to Temecula, and thought we should put them up against Virginia in a blind taste-test. So he is sending us something like a Norton - the State Grape of Virginia - and a Chambourcin (a bold and a fruity red) a Petit Verdot and a Viognier (fruity and dry whites). We will send him and taste here along with those four a Cabernet Sauvingnon, a mystery red of our own (a Pinot or Merlot?) and similar whites. We will skype the parties and compare the scores. There will be heavy appetizers such as meatballs and stuffed mushrooms as well as cheese pairings like nuts, dried fruits and meats and chocolates. There was much smack talk at the last one as is expected and the discovery was made that having the event in June was causing heat damage to the wines during the cross country trip. Now, we will liven our winter with explosive, undamaged, bold reds! This year, you won't need to travel all the way to Anaheim, Debra and Audrey are co-hosting and it will be in their lovely home. 8 0 000080.0 80 .0003E7 30 3/7/20 4:00 PM N N
