K20 Children's Book, Have Fun With Your Music

Have Fun With Your Music, written and illustrated by TVUUC member BeckyChaffee, is a book that inspires and empowers children to practice their musicalinstrument. Who doesn’t need that!? Concepts are presented with engaginghumorous art, inspiring thought for discussion. It’s perfect for COVID Timeswhen kids have less access to teachers.
The free companion e-book, "Summary Discussion Guide to Have Fun with Your Music" willhelp you talk about the practicing ideas introduced in the book.
For example "Practicing Slowly" is very important. Many students want to play through apiece as fast as possible. When you slow it way down and get the notes and counting correct, then it's easy and fun to speed the music up a little bit at a time with a metronome. If you firstplay fast, your brain learns the notes wrong, and it's harder to correct.
The coffee table quality hardback book inspires musicians of any age to practice theirinstrument for fun. Questions posed make the book interactive. Two pages of stickers areincluded.
Over 65 Positive Reviews on Amazon, many from music teachers, including the following:
“Need Practice Tips? Great book for practice inspiration. (Doesn't everyone need this?) Greatillustrations with creative practice tips. Love this book and want all of my students to see itand BUY it. Great job, Becky Chaffee!" ---Fay Adams, named 2016 Music Teacher of theYear by the Music Teacher National Association
