A Wonderful Dinner Evening in "Golden Prague""

Old Bohemia, or Golden Prague, and the peaceful countryside of Moravia conjure up nostalgic images of times gone by. And that is what we want you to experience. We will start your evening with old recipe appetizers of rich pates with toasts, smoked trout and cheeses with white and red wines. As you settle in, we will have some wonderful Czech music playing, some inspiring pictures, and a brief review of what it was like to be Bohemian years ago. We want to take you back in time! As we move to the Czech dinner table, a wonderful Moravian potato/dill soup with home-made rye bread, and sweet cream butter will extend your culinary journey. The main course will be "Svichkova", a marinated beef tenderloin, with a rich complex gravy served over home-made dumplings and red cabbage. Pilsner beer will accompany your meal, or maybe more wine? When we retire to the living room,a homemade apple strudel with whipped cream, coffee/tea will be served while you listen to Professor John Tanderich regale you with the history of this intriguing land. As you finish your evening, we will be grateful for your company, and the shared experience of our immigrant background!
