Zoe Mulford's CD Release Concert
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
Join singer-songwriter, guitarist and banjo player Zoe Mulford as she celebrates the release of her new album "Small Brown Birds". Zoe has been working on this project for the last year, starting in the dark of winter at her home in the north of England and then travelling to work with some of her favorite English and American musicians. The album follows the turning of seasons from winter to spring, meditates on hard times, embraces the spirit of community that gets us through them, and tosses in a chuckle or two. The songs include "Won't You Come On In?" which Zoe wrote for a UUCDC service.
The concert will be open to the public, so secure your seat and support the church by buying your ticket now!

Two perfect seats to see CONSTELLATIONS
By Nick Payne

Marianne, a theoretical physicist, and Roland, a beekeeper, meet at a party. In that moment lies a lifetime of possibilities, with seemingly mundane choices that will catapult them into wholly different lives. As time bends around them, Marianne and Roland are pushed together and split apart: maybe they get engaged to each other, or maybe they marry other people; maybe their love lasts forever, or maybe it’s cut tragically short. As time and space bend around them, their story spans friendship and free will, love and multiverse theory—and honey.
Bid is for one pair of tickets, valued at $35.00 each.
Also, Parking is $5 at the nearby Doubletree Hotel Garage

Architectural Tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
PMA Guide Ann Seidman will give one of her favorite tours to a group of up to 8 people (or two groups of 4).
Set at the terminus of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the views of and from the Museum are justifiably renowned. The tour begins on the East Terrace for an informative and fun hour as we explore the magnificent architecture and outdoor sculpture of the Museum. Discover the building's fascinating history and delight in the wealth of details that adorn this classically inspired building making it a uniquely beautiful part of Philadelphia's urban landscape. We'll eat at the museum cafe before or after the tour (cost not included).
Let's do this in late April or early May when the weather is perfect. Maybe April 30 or May 7 after church.

House Concert by Kim Robson and Russell Ferrara*
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
Kim Robson, flute and Russell Ferrara, guitar have performed together sporadically over the last 19 years. They gave the debut performances of their new group in May at benefits for the Wings of Hope charity and the Lansdowne Theater. Almost immediately thereafter they embarked on a teaching/performing sojourn in connection with the Northeast Georgia Summer Guitar Camp. They returned to begin recording their debut album. Kim and Russ present original contemporary instrumental and New Age music for flute and classical/synth guitar with influences from their wide musical experiences. Many of their pieces are conventional acoustic flute and guitar pieces while others employ expansive sounds emanating from Russ’ guitar synths. Their program is varied and lively, often setting their audience wondering how the sounds are being made. All of their concert music is performed live without backing tracks or computer assist and their forthcoming album is a mirror of that stage show with no layered tracks.

It is our hope that the winner of the auction will help us to leverage their contribution into an even bigger contribution by charging an admission fee or asking for a free will donation at the concert.
