Due to family schedules, we have only one window to offer for the auction: June 29 - July 6, 2019. Check in at 2:00 PM, Check out at Noon. Heron Cove, our Boothbay Harbor summer home, has two stories with three bedrooms and one full bath (tub/shower) upstairs. On the first floor there is another full bath (shower), kitchen, living-dining area and the ever-popular front porch. Heron Cove faces tidal water and across the water is Indiantown Island. You may launch your canoe or kayak from our dock and swim (if you love cold water) and enjoy all that Maine nature has to offer: wild birds including frequent Osprey fishing and occasional Bald Eagles. Harbor Seals swim past the house and on boat cruises you will see seals and sometimes dolphins and whales. Nearby there are nature preserves with walking or hiking trails. Bring your binoculars - we have bird guides in the house. Boothbay Harbor is a tourist destination but our home is a quiet oasis for peaceful porch reading or bird-watching. When you do want amenities like gift or book shops or harbor boat cruises or organized kayak tours, they are just minutes away. The fireworks for the 4th of July are stunning over the water and commercial boats offer tours you could reserve ahead of arrival. (Be aware that some summers they are canceled due to fog....) Speaking of weather, our living room boasts a propane stove for chilly mornings or ambiance on cool evenings. Maine weather often changes from one day to the next - cool and misty, warm and sunny, rain and clear.
